Refunds & Returns
The courts of Ivryndi are many things, but regrettably, they are not a lending library.
Digital Goods
Ebooks and audiobooks are enchanted instant-download items and therefore cannot be returned once purchased.
Before purchasing, we strongly encourage you to sample the wares first: Every product page includes a generous preview taken from the opening chapters, as well as a listening sample from the audiobook.
Please choose carefully before inviting a story into your collection. That said, we understand that sometimes a story simply fails to charm its reader. If you are genuinely unhappy with your purchase, you are welcome to contact us at with your order details and the reason for your request. While refunds for digital products are not guaranteed, exceptional cases will be considered. We want you to experience joy and wonder inside our worlds.
Should you accidentally purchase the same digital title twice, we will gladly refund the duplicate order within 30 days.
Physical Goods
Our books are Print-On-Demand, a magical process that means they don't exist until you order them, which means there is a very short window where we may be able to prevent a title from hitting the printer in the case of an accidental order.
Past 24h, we aren't able to offer returns for change of mind, so be sure to email us immediately. Beyond that, once our printing fae start the process, it can't be stopped. (Even Queen Elphame herself cannot reverse every impulsive decision made at midnight.)
Please also note: Hand signed books are not currently offered, but we do send a signed bookplate separately with print orders. The author resides inconveniently far from most mortal shipping routes, and the cost of sending signed editions across the seas in two directions (to the author, then back to the fae who work in shipping) is, frankly, villainous.
If your order arrives damaged or faulty, we will absolutely make it right.
Please contact us within 7 days of delivery according to your tracking information.
When reaching out, please email abby@alknorrbooks.com with the subject line: Returns, your name, your order number, photographs of the damaged or faulty item, and a brief description of the issue.
After that, you may choose either: a replacement copy, or, a full refund.
Your shelves should feel magical when your parcel arrives — not cursed. Housekeeping stuff is a bit boring, thanks for reading this far. And thank you most of all for visiting our fantasy boutique!
